What Is A Recovery Coach?
A recovery coach is a guide, mentor, and accountability partner for those seeking lasting change. They help you set goals, create a plan, and stay on track, supporting you through challenges and celebrating your progress. Recovery coaching is about helping you build a life that aligns with your values and aspirations, through planning, support and accountability.
My Approach To Coaching
I'm a very straightforward, no-filters kind of woman in recovery, 16 plus years to be exact. My approach can be raw but it's always real, rooted in honesty, lived experience, and a strong belief in hard work, collaboration, and results...
When we work together, you're in the driver's seat and I'm right behind you with the map. We'll start by having an open, judgment-free conversation...

“Recovery is not a straight line. It's a journey of progress, setbacks, and growth.“
Step 1: Define Your Future
Let's talk about where you are today and where you truly want to be. Whether it's your career, relationships, or personal growth, we'll set a vision for your future.
Step 2: Create Your Plan
We'll work together to build a personalized roadmap, breaking down big goals into manageable steps that fit your life and strengths.
Step 3: Take Action
Now it's time to put the plan in motion. You'll have my full support as you take real steps toward the life you want.
Step 4: Stay on Track
Recovery isn't always easy, but you don't have to do it alone. I'll be here to keep you accountable, motivated, and moving forward.
Step 5: Adjust & Refine
Life is unpredictable. If something isn't working, we'll pivot, tweak the plan, and make sure it's the right path for you.
Step 6: Independence & Success
With the right tools, mindset, and confidence, you'll be ready to take charge of your own journey, and I'll be cheering you on every step of the way.

My Story
After two long, intensive months in rehab, I walked back into reality thinking I was ready, but I quickly realized the second stage of recovery was harder than I ever expected. Yes, I was sober and had learned so much, but suddenly I was back in a world full of temptation, responsibilities, and pressure. The list of things I had to accomplish felt endless: attend court for my DUI, find safe and affordable housing that accepted pets, secure a job that allowed me to go back to school, furnish a home, reconnect with my children, and attend 90 meetings in 90 days. Some days, the weight of it all was so overwhelming I could feel depression and old triggers creeping back in.
I wanted to socialize again, to rebuild my life without isolation. I needed affordable counseling for my teenage son and daughter. I had to get my licence back, my BC ID, pay off bills, and start rebuilding my credit. I needed to eat well, stay healthy, maybe even join a gym. Every task was essential, but taken together they felt impossible.
That's where I started. That's why I do this work.
I've been in recovery for over 16 years, and I know firsthand how difficult it can be to rebuild your life from the ground up. Since then, I've worked on the front lines in the Downtown Eastside, managed an overdose prevention site, served two terms as an elected official, and supported others through their recovery at the Orchard Recovery Centre. I've built a strong network of professionals and community resources. From housing and legal support to education, addiction counseling, and family services.
When we work together, our focus is on making your goals realistic and achievable, at your pace and on your terms. I've been there. I get it. And I'm here to help you move forward, no matter where you're starting from.
